Existing-home sales in North Carolina cooled for the third straight month in November while the average home price inched higher, according to statistics provided by the North Carolina Association of Realtors.

Many Canadians feel that these and other concerns, could be controlled or eradicated if individual maturity would kick-in on a large scale.

The end of the year is at hand and with it some relief. Despite claims of an impending real estate bust that will rival the Great Depression, for the most part 2006 merely represented a slow-down from the torrid and unsustainable pace of 2005.

Loan rates started to move up a bit as 2006 came to a close. But current rates are still lower than they were at this time last year. So folks who have adjustable rate mortgages or other types of loans that are due to reset in 2007 may want to consider a trade-in.

Question (CO): I was a Buyers' Agent in a recent transaction. The Buyers intended to move halfway across the country and wanted to keep costs minimized. Our sales contracts (Colorado) contain a section involving "other prorations. Water and sewer charges; interest on any continuing loan, and ... ." In this space I asked the Buyers if they wanted "propane" to be inserted, since there was a tank on the property. They said "no" and so I typed in "none other."

Arizona, Nevada and Idaho had the fastest-growing populations between July 2005 and July 2006, while Louisiana lost nearly 5 percent of its pre-Hurricane Katrina population during the period, the U.S. Census Bureau reported today.
