Michael A Kenny is a 15-year veteran of the surety and construction risk management business. He has successfully put together numerous surety programs for contractors while working in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California and Southern California. He founded Shamrock Surety Services in April 2006 to fulfill his vision of creating a leading edge surety brokerage grounded in the 21st century.
In the early years of his career, Mr. Kenny was privileged to work for two of the nation’s largest and most respected surety companies in the industry: Reliance Surety Company and St Paul Surety.
Mr. Kenny’s area of responsibility on the company side included Home Office Underwriter, Account Manager, Computer Network Administrator and Underwriting Supervisor. The niche market for these sureties was mid- to large-size contractors and developers, and Mr. Kenny specialized in putting together large and complex credits.
More recently, Mr. Kenny was on staff at the Bay Area Offices of Allied North America and Thoits Insurance where he served in the capacity of Assistant Vice President and Vice President of Construction.
Mr. Kenny’s varied expertise in financial analysis, underwriting, information technology and marketing represent a skill set assured to provide surety clients with a positive outcome.
Mr. Kenny earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with Emphasis in Finance from San Diego State University in 1989. He is a Licensed Insurance Broker in the State of California and grew up in Sacramento. Products offered include contractor bond ; subdivision bond ; court bond ; construction ledger.
