Give Your Home a Great Renovation Todd Hicks Are you someone who craves good design and beautiful scenery? Do you want to make the inside and outside of your home look as though it has been given a spectacular makeover? You can take control in making your home one that stands out and makes you highly proud. Here are ten things you can do for a great renovation: Install great siding and windows. Consider Dalco. This company provides siding and windows that are beautiful and well insulated. Our windows can be raised and slid open. Our living room bay windows work in tandem with the siding to offer a magnificent design. Each window provides great insulation, noise reduction and ultraviolet protection from the sun. Lay red bricks. We have a splendid walkway in our front yard that is paved from red bricks. We have also piled several large red bricks together on both sides of the porch. Build or buy a sturdy awning. To create a beautiful look, get an awning made of a beautiful wood. After building our awning several years ago, my father put an awesome stain on it. Put a large, fantastic deck in your back yard. It should be one that makes you crave sitting in your back yard. Paint it with a pretty color and put comfortable chairs and other things on it that will help give your home a nifty décor. Place great care into your lawns. Your yards should be filled with healthy grass that receives plenty of water, fertilizer and the necessary nutrients. Read or seek advice pertaining to how to seed and grow grass. The grass should be kept cut. Grow vegetation. One good reason why you should grow bushes, trees, plants and hedges is you will add beauty to your home. Another reason is to show how much you care about helping the environment by pumping oxygen into the air. The best tree for those who love to show off is the Evergreen tree because it stays green all year. Trim your hedges and bushes to maintain a pleasant look and prevent others from hiding there. Pull up your weeds to eliminate their ugliness and keep them from choking your vegetation. Buy some pretty indoor plants. The best outdoor plant to keep near your doors is the scented geranium because its scent repels mosquitoes. A home is not really a home without good art and furniture. Buy or create paintings. A long time ago, my mother made a large painting of birds that gives the living room an excellent display. Your furniture should help you feel at home in addition to looking good. If you like to relax at home a lot, invest in a good recliner and cushy sofa. Make your bedroom look like royalty. Paint your ceiling and half of your walls a pretty color while giving the other half a sharp wallpaper cover. Put fancy drapes above your windows. Develop the mentality of a collector. Buy great things for your home such as fancy clocks and statues. The one thing your home must have is a grand garden. The best garden to grow is one that consists of food such as tomatoes. If you love tomatoes and grow your own, you will acquire aesthetics, great taste and a major sense of pride -- do not neglect to spray the right pesticides. I will never forget my experience of my family growing tomatoes when I was twelve in 1985. Make yourself proud and create lifelong memories. Do what you have learned and other things you can think of to make your home fabulous.
