Geraldo Thomps If you are planning on having a pool installed in your backyard then you are most likely somewhat amazed at the amount of equipment that is required to keep your pool up and going. Then on top of that, you need a good supply of pool toys to keep the kids occupied while they are splashing around in the pool. All of this can be more than a little overwhelming and also somewhat stressful on your budget. So you may be asking yourself, do you really need an automatic pool cleaner? After all, the pool already has a filter to keep the water clean. What about a pool service, can't they clean the pool for you? The fact is that a pools filter handles the job of keeping the actual water clean and that is a completely separate issue from the pool itself. If you have a built in pool, not only will the heavy debris such as dead bugs and debris have to be vacuumed up but the concrete sides of the pool have to be scrubbed. Sure you can do it yourself but it will take a few hours to get done and it has to be done regularly. If the price on an automatic pool cleaner seems expensive to you then sit down and add up all of the time that you will spend in just one year keeping your pool clean if it is done manualy. Also, remember that your pool has to be cleaned occasionally even in the dead of winter. Built in and above ground pools have two separate type of cleaning needs, so there are two distinct types of pool cleaners for each pool.
