Slight change in overnight real estate rates
Long-term mortgage interest rates were mostly flat Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dropped to 4.68 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average fell to 5.8 percent, and the 15-year fixed rate held at 5.55 percent. The 1-year adjustable dipped to 5.38 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield sank to 4.84 percent.

Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 52.58 points, or 0.41 percent, finishing at 12,773.04. The Nasdaq was down 1.38 points, or 0.05 percent, closing at 2,516.95.
