You Can Save Money on Air Conditioning

Sam Greyhawk

When it's hot most people feel like they can't comfortably live without it - in some parts of the country they can't. The problem with air conditioning systems in general is they tend to be very in-efficient and thus very expensive. In the hottest, summer months your AC can be responsible for a huge portion of your monthly electric bill. According to the Con Edison Energy Company of New York if you keep your thermostat at an average temperature of 78 degrees then your air conditioning only accounts for about 56% of your total electric bill. If you are like me and keep your thermostat a bit cooler at an average temperature of 72 degrees then your air conditioning can account for up to an alarming 95% of your total electrical bill.

I know when it's hot I'm constantly fighting my wife for control of the thermostat because I know what happens if we turn it down a little too much. So what can we do? We can't really afford to purchase a new and improved air conditioner with a better SEER rating.

Thanks to Ed Begley, Jr., and his show "Living with Ed" I finally found my solution - Cool-N-Save(tm) (http://www.coolnsave.com).

The Cool-N-Save(tm) costs less then $100 and I installed it in less than ten minutes without tools. It attached to the top of my air conditioning unit and then connected to my outdoor water spigot through a filter. The Cool-N-Save(tm) device is now pre-cooling my air conditioner and I can't wait for the summer months to see real savings.
