College is never a cheap adventure to go on but it is quite necessary. We hear the horror stories about the tuition costs and how they are going up, up and away each year but is this the case everywhere? Is it just as expensive to go to school in every singe state?

No, it is not. In some states the average college can cost $25,000 per year while in others it can be as little as $15,000 per year and these are both for private institutions. The vast majority of student will attend public schools, both universities and colleges and these costs are lower than the ones mentioned above.  Even in New England which has the most expensive schools the cost of tuition can be as low as $7,000 and on the west coast you will be looking at as little as $4,000.

This is good news for those of you who are thinking about attending college or have children who will be. If you plan ahead and do some simple saving you will be able to save at least a pretty good portion of the tuition fees needed for the schools. Add to that the help available from financial aid and anyone can go to college and university. To get to college all that is needed is a little bit of time with a thinking cap on and some serious planning.
